Rev. ST Williams, Jr., Senior Pastor
ST was born on June 23, 1962, to ST and Mary Williams in Gary, IN. Through the
care of his family, and the open witness of Trinity Lutheran congregation in Gary,
Indiana, he entered into the Christian faith through baptism on March 21, 1971.

A key figure in this was the Rev. Charles Wheeler, ST's godfather and present
pastor of Christ Community Church in Merrillville, Indiana. He was confirmed on
his baptismal vow on November 14, 1976, by Pastor Thomas Nelson, and
continued to confirm his faith in Christ throughout his high school, college, and
seminary years.

Pastor Williams has been the pastor of Care-giving, Missions and Outreach at
Christ Lutheran Church, Lincoln, NE since the spring of 1998. He is a 1986
graduate of Taylor University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and
religion.  In 1989, while attending Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne,
Indiana, he was commissioned in the U.S. Navy Reserve Chaplain's Program.  
He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1991and in 1999 he was promoted to
Lieutenant Commander.

On May 21, 1993, ST graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary and
accepted a dual-call that included being the Associate Pastor of Bethlehem
Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, IN, recruitment officer for Concordia Theological
Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN. He continues to serve as a reserve military Chaplain.
He has also served on the Indiana District Board for Black Ministry Services,
LCMS Youth Board, and the Church Planting committee for Black Ministry
(LC-MS), Vice-Chairman of the LCMS Black Clergy Caucus, Inc, Administrative
Liaison to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Haiti, Pres. of the Taylor University
National Alumni Council, LCMS North American Missions Staff, Board member of
Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity and a host of other boards and
committee within the LCMS and community.

Pastor Williams was united in marriage with Dr. Angela Lynette McKinney on June
20, 1998.  Angela is Assoc. Professor of Biology at Nebraska Wesleyan
University, Lincoln, NE.

In his free time Pastor Williams enjoys fishing, travel, camping sailing, cooking
and painting.
