| Imani Phi Christ's mission is to help young African American girls MAXIMIZE THEIR POTENTIAL. Imani Phi Christ gives youth skills to help them avoid consequences connected to poor academic performance, negative personal relations, school retention and juvenile delinquency, violence, substance abuse, teenage pregnancy and other related problems that plague this population. |
My dream for our young ladies is for them to Love God, Love themselves, and
Love each other as God loves us...
John 13:34
A new command I give you love one another as I have loved you,
so you must love one another.
Romans 12:10
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love, Honor one another
above yourself.
It is my dream for us to humbly help them to get to this point in their lives,
knowing it is not easy Loving themselves or anyone else. They will know what
Loving yourself looks like to people in the community. i.e.: increase in
self-esteem, motivation to achieve their goals, and a desire to share these
wonderful qualities with other young ladies in the community, by encouraging
them to become Imani Members, and at the end of the day becoming mentors
themselves.
They will know the importance of giving back to God with time, talents and
treasures and the community through community service activities..
Finally, it is my prayer to help them become educated, financially stable
leaders in our community, and our country.
